Baby lions!

As I said yesterday, today was our day off and we headed down the road to a white lion breeding facility. I'm disappointed that I'm missing out on cheetah babies here at the centre, but got lucky today as the lion park had two wee cubs only a month old. Zeus and Annie were completely adorable, still finding their feet and stumbling all over the place. They both took a liking to my bag and enjoyed chewing the strap! Zeus is the wee brown lion and Annie the white cub. There were also some older lions, including several adults we didn't get close enough to to photograph.
Photos below, and I'll do a separate post with some of me cuddling Zeus from my phone :)
Tomorrow will be an interesting day as we have a group of 16 American school kids coming to do a day's work. Estelle is also going to pick up another volunteer from the airport, then 3 more arrive Saturday so the house will be much fuller.

    1. Hi Lagan,
Zeus was SO cute when he tumbled! The two of them didn't seem to know where their own feet were half the time! There is no white cheetah, just a white lion :) They occur naturally in the wild sometimes but don't last very long because they don't have proper camouflage :(
Jade's paralysis is actually a genetic condition that came on once she was a couple of years old. So they won't breed with her because she could pass it on to any cubs she had.
Pablo is about 6 years old :) He was hand raised but is not very people friendly these days. He used to be friendly with his original family, but has always been pretty cranky since living here.
